That's what happened with Amaurot, you know? The Convocation was desperate for salvation for their people. The world was dying too quickly and they did what they thought they had to.
Maybe the scientists are responsible for the missing memories? It would make sense, wouldn't it? Make everyone forget over time who was responsible, and rationalize it as making everyone happier... If they can't remember what it felt like to touch and taste and experience the world in the flesh then they can't be depressed by missing it, right?
If they treat us like fragile children, breaking things and stealing is like a child's tantrum. Whoever was responsible just proved them right. It's I'm still so angry. We were stolen away, but have been treated as guests. Even when I was at my most resentful I would never have considered such a thing. It was so extreme. I just hope whatever they stole was worth all the damage they've done to everyone else.
A little exhibition/party as a show of good faith. Do you think it would be a good idea? I would not mind trying to organize something like that. The city council might be amenable if I request space to hold it, since they appreciated my asking their input on where to perform the Untempering.
