I don't believe she knows what she wants, in regards to the... situation. Or has simply not allowed herself to acknowledge that as such. Even in matters as simple as being willing to merely converse.

im no stranger to keeping ppl at arms length to avoid making waves or getting hurt, i know what it looks like. shes way further gone than i used to be tho.

It can be an understandable reaction. Frustrating though it might seem to those on the outside.

I had meant only that it is a reaction that I myself have been guilty of as well. [Sometimes deliberately done in order to further his goal, and sometimes... less so.] Forgive me if it came off otherwise. And it would not have been you with whom I had been frustrated.
