Mostly just that. Little family get-togethers courtesy of Iris Amicitia. Sometimes we'd do a movie night at my place and just hang out. Nothing big or fancy, so don't get any wild ideas if you want him to stick around. Cake helps.
[He doesn't sound like the prospect of a party thrills him either. Willing, but not eager, basically.]
[Tony wondered if maybe Noct was right. He was trying to do something nice for the man but Gladio could be very stubborn. He rubbed the back of his head, unsure.]
Well, I've already invited some people but I believe only one who isn't directly linked to you, Wei Wuxian, if you know him. Otherwise, it's Pyra, your dad, and the other Eos boys. Do you think he'd like that size of party?
[A reluctant confession, but an honest one; he's still trying to parse the changes the other man underwent in the other world, and on the other hand he's working through remembering Gladio of back then versus the one he remembers in his own time- also a very different man in some specific aspects. It's a dance he hasn't quite learned the steps to yet.
The differences aren't so severe that he can't predict some of Gladio's behaviour though, so...]
If it's that small he might tolerate it. Might even get him to relax enough to enjoy it a little. I can't promise much more than that.
[Tony's focus shifts from the party planning to that first statement and his eyes narrow.]
Can you blame him? He's been a soldier slave for the last several months imprisoned on a train with all kinds of mind tricks. When he got here he's told he becomes someone so unforgivable that losing his cool means his best friends question whether he'll 'have their back'. He had 'train versions' of you all, which you've made really clear you hate even though, he loved them. They were his brothers and cared for him like you would've had you been there.
Have you even asked him what he's been through once?
[As Tony speaks, Noctis' own eyes narrow. He's put up with a lot the last few months, and this is extra icing on the garbage cake from someone he was already kind of on the fence with. He is not in the mood for someone's shit-slinging.]
Is it impossible for you to talk to someone without making a dickhead assumption about them, or are you like this on purpose? Don't put words in my mouth, and don't act like you know everything I have or haven't done. I don't know you and you're giving me less reason to try.

[He's building an outdoor grill, Noct!]

Take your oversharing lectures and shove it.
[Click. Bye, Tony.]
