I'm a big guy, I take up a lot of space! [He grinned teasingly.] And I don't know if you've noticed, you've a full house here. What with people and animals.
[Which was true enough, though also him just trying to be funny.]
[He gets a shrug for that, with Noctis waving a hand to dismiss those concerns.]
We've kept you around in way more cramped quarters before. Remember the tent? Or the caravans? Half the time I wondered how all of us fit anywhere.
[Even so, it was (almost) always just the four of them. And when Gladio left, it felt weird. The same can be said about this place- before his arrival, and now when he lives elsewhere. So yeah, Gladio's welcome.]
Really need to find a way to get ahold of a tent again...
[Not that there were really lots of places to go camping here like home, but who knew? And that reminded Gladio of something suddenly. He set his cup down and leaned forward a touch.]
Actually, I needed to run something by you... Now if you say no, we can change it. But... Me and Tony, we're opening a bar. I'd really like to name it Insomnia. What'd ya think?
[Gladio didn't know that recounting the whole run up to coming to that name was warranted, but he could give a shortened version of why.]
Tony wanted to know a name important to me... And I couldn't name it Iris, or name it after one of you guys. So Insomnia was the obvious choice. It was our home. And who knows when we'll get to see it again?
I was hopin to get pictures from Prom to hang up everywhere.
[That last point is very fair, especially considering Noctis knows exactly how long it's going to be for him, plus however long he's trapped in this city. Having something at least sharing a name or motif... well, might be nice to pretend for a little bit. Maybe. Regardless, he doesn't have a good reason to refuse.]
Sounds cute. He's probably got loads of photos from home still saved somewhere. I got some on my phone, too.
[Though he'd hardly suggest putting phone camera photos up next to Prom's. He just isn't sure if Prompto has Insomnia photos with him here, or if they were all waiting for them back in the city. Either way, pics of Eos would be pretty too, he bets.]
Yeah, sure. Whatever you wanna do. I think it's mostly the Citadel and a few of the museums? There was some pre-treaty tour before we left.
[It was so long ago now - with so much happening in between - that he scarcely remembers, but considering half of the photos he looked through were shots of the Old Wall statues, it feels right.]
Those'll be good enough. Thanks, Noct. It really means a lot.
[It was such a relief he was okay with it. And willing to part with his pictures too, or at least share them so they could get them on the walls. Gladio was feeling much better about the whole thing now.]
[Not like sharing photos is a problem for him, and Insomnia is technically just a word- he can't claim ownership to it even if he's in the ruling family. It's Gladio's home, too. It was good of him to ask first, and Noct's not about to be the jerk who says no.]
Knowin Tony it'll be a crowd. Probably people getting drunk. Probably me gettin drink. [The grin widened.] Agreeing to come means you run the risk of me dragging you up to dance or, worse, if Tony has his way... sing.
[Gladio's eyes lit up then and his grin became a smirk. C'mon, Noct. You should know by saying no to a thing you were now going to be tormented about it.]
Never say never, Princess! Unless you sound like a frog. You don't sing like a frog, do you?
[He was laughing as he pushed himself back and grabbed up his tea again. He was joking. There was no way he was going to force Noct. Hell, he had no intention of getting up and singing either. It was just amusing.]
We can sit back and watch the rest of them embarrass themselves.

[Which was true enough, though also him just trying to be funny.]
I'd like to come by more often.

[The protest was made laughingly. But he got it.]

Why Insomnia?
[Like a little taste of home? He isn't especially surprised that Gladio wants a bar; it'll be a good thing to keep him occupied if he's bored.]

Uh- and yeah, I've got no objection.

[Gladio's smile was an eager one, happy and pleased that Noct was on board with it all.]

Never figured you for an entrepreneur.

[But he just smiled and took a sip of his tea.]
Mostly Tony's idea, I'm just along for the ride. Heh, what else is there to do here? The place was crying out for a local drinking hole.
no subject
[Noctis sounds amused more than anything else, though.]
You're right though, it'll probably be popular. I hope it works out for you.
no subject
[It was hard work, physical labour and a lot of effort but it was rewarding.]
You'll come by, right? When we open?
no subject
[Of course he'll come!]
no subject
What? I'm bein polite.
no subject
[He knows things were kind of rough, but... come on, he's trying.]

[Gladio leaned forward a bit, he kept his grin.]

[He will neither commit nor deny that dancing is acceptable on occasion. But the line on singing is firmly drawn!]

[Noctis smirks faintly. Even if Gladio was joking, he's pleased to have won this round.]
Yeah, I can get on board with that.
no subject
Might make some number cards. We can sore them.
no subject
[Because he's a brat.]

I think we're on the same page here.
