I would have imagined the suddenness of the additional girth to my jacket would have resolved any misconceptions, but your granduncle had to ask if my people lay eggs and he is my best friend here.
Diacht's priests gave it to me. I believe it may be a bribe.
It is something exciting, and worth waking up for each morning. I believe Ardyn was simply... concerned.
That 'god' is hardly a dragon, and the draconic creatures of Rawna's temple are deeply disturbing. They are barely even shades of the real thing.
Whatever you were given, and whatever you feel for the deities here, please always remain cautious. We know what they claim their motives to be, and little else beyond what we're told.
alien world, alien dragons, I figure. anyway thats fussing over the small stuff
it's ok tho I know my own limits, bribery's mostly wasted on me. but it was one of the royal arms so I wonder if they think there's going to be more fighting soon
The Father of Dragons, Midgardsormr, made a covenant with me. The aether of his son, Bahamut the Dawn Wyrm, runs through me. I bore witness to the undying grief of Tiamat the Dusk Wyrm. I killed Nidhogg the Black Wyrm, at the height of his vengeful fury. I befriended Hraesvelgr the White Wyrm, and eternal love to Shiva, Lady of Frost.
Whenever I was in the Churning Mists I would stop by and play with all the little dragonlings and dragonets, indulging in their whimsy and crafting them toys. Insatiably curious, playing games in the clouds as a mortal child would on the earth, for decades upon decades until finally they mature.
Dragons are not so small a thing to me. I am not their kin by blood, but by spirit.
If they think there's to be more fighting they would be better served by returning what they stole from me rather than giving me something that makes me vulnerable. After my egg hatches I would be glad for a good fight, however.
Ifrit, Titan, Leviathan, Ramuh, and Shiva for our overlapping 'gods'. Carbuncle and Bahamut, obviously. I believe 'magitek' is a term used in your world as well. Midgardsormr is apparently some sort of giant serpent in your realm, from what Ardyn has told me.
[Oof, that sounds painfully personal. Mayhaps he'll just refrain from the whole... Bahamut stuff. He'd feel awfully callous talking about the apparent guardian of their family knowing another world's word association like that. Like if Era told him she was besties with an Iedolas.]
One group's efforts to safeguard the life that yet remained on their dying world resulted in said world fracturing into fourteen pieces. Fourteen worlds, filled with life and love and potential.
One Shard was lost to Darkness. Seven others were utterly destroyed in the process of Rejoining with the Source shard. Yet another was very nearly lost to Light.
The Source and its remaining Shards are my charges. I exist to safeguard the precious life upon them as best I can, no matter the cost to myself.
My initial belief was that your world was one of my Shards. I know now that belief isn't wholly accurate, but in my heart of hearts I cannot shake the feeling that your world is connected to mine in some way.
after that ardyn thread
I have been made aware of how easily misinterpreted my appearance can seem, and so to clarify:
My egg is an egg that is mine, but not of my body.
My kind reproduce identically to humans.
It is a big, mysterious egg that is not of a Chocobo nor a dragon.
It likes being held, and the sound of voices. It is very cute.
I think even if whatever hatches is something objectively horrific that it will still be very cute.

didn't want to spoil the mood
and probably yeah?? I just got a package too and it's kind of messing with how I feel about our local dragon lord

Which of the arms were you given?

I mean it's weird for me to think of your Carbuncle as a Carbuncle but you won't catch me telling you it's not bc that's a dick move
by small stuff I just mean everyone's gonna have different opinions and even if they're not dragons to u they're dragons to THEM and neither's wrong
anyway I got the shield of the just- one of the lucian queens. its awesome
no subject
I received a shield as well.

it's weird. this place is always weird

That is one word for it, I suppose.
no subject
so your world has a bahamut too?
[He'd almost included the Draconian bit, but considering earlier- maybe not.]

thats a lot of crossover though. except bahamut's not a god but an actual dragon, and the same thing for our snake...
maybe it's a language thing? like our worlds somehow just share the same old tongue. that'd be cool
no subject
The Dreadwyrm Bahamut brought about a Calamity, destroying much of my homeland and permanently altering the environment.
The Dawn Wyrm was apparently very kind and loving, caring immensely for his brood. Nothing at all like the god that was made in his image.
It is not impossible that your world is a parallel Shard of my realm. There are more similarities than mere names.
no subject
"parallel shard"? what's that mean?
